Introduction to our history

Almost a Century of Craftsmanship

The history of the Miclijor Group is a story of perseverance, vision and dedication to the craft. What is now a group of seven specialised companies began almost a century ago, in the workshops of a Belgian family who turned necessity into art. Five generations later, that legacy lives on in every project we undertake.

The Origins

Belgium,
The Twenties

The story of Miclijor Group is one of perseverance, vision and dedication to the craft. What is now a group of seven companies specialising in luxury real estate began almost a century ago, in the workshops of a Belgian family who turned necessity into art.

Five generations on, that legacy lives on in every project we undertake. From the earliest works for the Royal House of Belgium to the most exclusive villas in Marbella, our track record is testament to the fact that excellence is not improvised - it is inherited, nurtured and honed over time.

The Leap to Spain

A Man
and A Vision

In 2001, Peter Meirsman made a decision that would change the course of his life. Aged 28, he left behind a comfortable existence in Belgium and arrived in Spain with his wife Nancy, a van full of tools and the determination to build something of his own.

The first years were ones of sacrifice and perseverance. Without the necessary licences for major construction, Peter spent three years doing finishing work, waiting patiently until he got his credentials in 2004. Then came two companies - one finishing and one construction - which finally merged in 2012 to form Nalipemi.

The road was not an easy one, coming at a time of great economic pressure. Despite the difficulties, Peter decided to go ahead and trust in his vision, visiting a potential client who would change the course of everything. That decision earned him his first big contract: a bungalow in Puente Romano that marked the beginning of his rise.

International Growth

From Marbella
to the World

From that first contract, Nalipemi's reputation grew rapidly. The company became known for its honesty, precision and hands-on approach, earning the trust of discerning clients in Marbella's most exclusive urbanisations: La Zagaleta, Cascada de Camoján and Puente Romano.

Soon, the projects crossed borders. Nalipemi took its quality standard to London, Geneva, Dubai, Vienna, Jakarta and Montenegro. Between 2015 and 2017, a flagship project in Oman definitively consolidated the company's international reputation.

Success did not change the working philosophy. Each project, whether it was a villa in Marbella or a residence abroad, was executed with the same rigour and attention to detail that had defined the Meirsman family for generations.

Five generations on, that legacy lives on in every project we undertake. From the earliest works for the Royal House of Belgium to the most exclusive villas in Marbella, our track record is testament to the fact that excellence is not improvised - it is inherited, nurtured and honed over time.

The Birth of MICLIJOR

From a Company
to a Group

With Nalipemi established, Peter began to envision something bigger: a group of specialised companies working together, each mastering a specific discipline of the luxury real estate sector.

The first step came in 2020 with the creation of Lijomi, an architecture and interior design studio in the iconic Marbella Club Hotel. After several rejections, Peter wrote a personal letter outlining his vision. The response was positive, with one condition: he would finance the transformation of the space himself. What was once a dark warehouse became one of Marbella's most elegant design showrooms.

Lijomi's success marked the official birth of the Miclijor Group: a collective built on shared values of craftsmanship, quality and collaboration.

Expansion and Specialisation

Six Companies,
A Legacy

From 2021 onwards, the group grew rapidly with the addition of new specialised companies:

Madulmus (2021) - Carpentry and joinery that unites traditional techniques with contemporary precision. Its name comes from «wood» and «Ulmus», a tree admired for its strength and beauty.

Limantecon (2022) - Maintenance, cleaning and surface treatment for luxury properties. Today it has a physical base in San Pedro de Alcántara and is a certified distributor for Kärcher and FILA.

Clindolec (2022) - High-end technical installations: electricity, air conditioning, home automation and plumbing. Led by Juan José Domínguez Moyano, it responds to the growing demand for digitalisation and efficiency in luxury homes.

Colpindec (2023) - Painting and decorative finishes representing the family's legacy of craftsmanship brought to its fullest expression. The circle that began in Belgium almost a century ago closes with this company.

The Sixth Generation

The Legacy Continues

In 2024, the history of the Miclijor Group took a new step with the addition of Jorden Meirsman, Peter's son and representative of the sixth generation of the family.

Jorden leads the group's real estate investment division, which focuses on identifying, developing and managing properties - whether acquired, built or renovated by Miclijor's own companies.

With father and son working together, the family legacy is projected into the future. What began as a survival trade in 1920s Belgium is today a group of companies that defines the standard of luxury in Marbella and beyond.

Miclijor's foundations were built on craftsmanship; its future is built on vision.
